Part of the Chevrolet light-duty truck lineup since 1973, the versatile and popular 4-door Suburban body style remained in production through 1991, even though GM had already launched its redesigned GMT-generation trucks for 1988. Featuring the top available Silverado trim, paint, and upholstery level, this 1986 Chevrolet C10 Suburban provides a virtual trip back in time to the mid-1980s with its strict originality and excellent overall condition. Special-ordered and purchased new by a long-time career mechanic, the Suburban received Ziebart rust protection following purchase and it was reportedly never driven in rain or snow under his ownership, a status confirmed by the vehicle’s impeccably solid, rust-free condition. At the time of writing, just 68,744 original kilometers (42,716 miles) have been accumulated. The striking two-tone paint finish remains excellent, as does the Grey interior and carpeting. Power is provided by a 305 CI (5.0L) Chevrolet V-8 engine, rated at 155 HP with a 4-barrel carburetor, mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drivetrain. The engine, engine compartment, and underside of the Suburban are all clean, sound, and consistent with the fastidious long-term care applied by the original owner. Features and options are many, including air conditioning, a Delco electronic AM/FM Cassette radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, a power-operated rear window, tilt steering, and the trailer-towing package. Thanks to its generous 129.5-inch wheelbase chassis, passenger accommodations are spacious for up to 8 occupants plus plenty of cargo capacity. This beautifully preserved and highly optioned Suburban is accompanied by factory floor mats, a full-size spare wheel/tire, and a new spare rear window – never used and inside its shipping crate, plus a pair of never-installed accessory running boards. In addition to the original owner’s manual, the Suburban includes a 1986 Light-Duty Truck shop manual and a wiring manual. The brakes and exhaust system are new and correct. Factory Rally wheels and excellent newer radial tires complete this beautifully original and extremely well preserved and presented, top-of-the-line 1986 Chevrolet C10 Suburban Silverado. Appraised value of $60,000. Plus HST & registration fees. WE WILL TAKE ANYTHING IN ON TRADE! jason@groganclassics.com
