As offered, it celebrates Plymouth’s successes in 1959 with its eye-catching Red repaint and freshly reupholstered Red and White seats. The Belvedere’s captivating Virgil Exner styling features a bold frontal treatment, clean bodysides, prominent tailfins, and an embossed trunk lid. Other features and amenities include a power-operated Tan convertible top, Ample power is delivered by the Belvedere-specific 318 CI V-8 engine, factory-rated at 230 BHP with an economical 2-barrel carburetor. Chrysler’s renowned Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission delivers the power via Chrysler’s futuristic pushbutton shifter to the left side of the Belvedere’s dash. The engine compartment and engine are tidy in presentation, including a correct air cleaner and rocker covers.
