1932 Ford Model B Pickup

Ever since new, the 1932 Ford model line has enjoyed iconic status as the first popular-priced American vehicles with V-8 power. Featuring beautifully styled bodies to match, these vehicles have provided the ideal starting material for racers, hot rodders, and customizers ever since new. This 1932 Ford Model B custom pickup is a fabulous example, featuring a compete and unmodified steel body and deep, shiny Black lacquer paint finish. Select exterior updates include the OEM Ford-scripted headlights, signal lights within the cowl lamps, a Ford “Greyhound" radiator mascot, dual side mirrors, a third brake light, and twin rear brake/signal lights. Other highlights include a padded tilt-up tonneau cover/lid and a bed-mounted battery, wooden cargo-bed flooring with stainless retaining straps, and fuel filler. Inside, the driver is greeted by a “banjo" steering wheel, modern tilt column, a billet instrument/dash cluster, VDO gauges, an AutoMeter tachometer, and floor shifter. Upholstery is Black vinyl and Red pleated velour to the custom seat including a central armrest.

Power is delivered by a later-model Covette 350 CI small-block V-8 engine, equipped with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock high-rise aluminum intake manifold, GM performance distributor, and headers feeding a full-length dual exhaust system. A floor-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission delivers the power. Featuring a great stance, the Ford’s chassis includes a dropped tubular axle, transverse leaf spring, and hydraulic shocks up front and longitudinal leaf springs and hydraulic shocks locating the 9-inch Ford rear end. Brakes are front disc, rear drum with power assist and a modern dual-circuit master cylinder. Other updates include a 12-volt alternator and twin electric cooling fans.
