Finished in stunning Monarch Orange custom paint, his eye-catching, show-quality 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup was recently restored, built and modified to show quality with high-quality components and workmanship throughout. Desirable features include an OEM Ford body and fenders with custom hand-formed running boards including wood inserts.
Riding on a fully boxed original ’29 Ford frame, this custom Model A Pickup is powered by a freshly rebuilt 1987 Mustang GT 302ci (5.0 Liter H.O.) V-8 engine equipped with Wiseco forged pistons, a custom-fabricated air intake, Edelbrock intake manifold and 600-cfm 4-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system including headers and electric cutouts. A professionally rebuilt Ford AOD automatic transmission and an 8.8-inch Traction-Lok rear end fitted with highway gears deliver the power. Front suspension is a Heidt’s Super Ride II setup including tubular A-arms, col-over shocks and rack-and-pinion steering gear. The 8.8-inch Ford rear axle is located by a fully adjustable parallel 4-link suspension with coil-over shocks. Wilwood front disc brakes and Ford Ranger rear drums provide stopping power with a late-model master cylinder.
The Beige custom interior is trimmed in durable marine grade vinyl upholstery, accented by smart Orange piping and custom period style “V8" logos. Instruments, the Bluetooth-capable audio system, and Kenwood under-dash speakers are all durable, marine-grade items. The speedometer is a GPS unit from Speed Hut, which uses a satellite signal for ultra-accurate readings that allows you to change tire sizes, rear gears, and the transmission without affecting the speedometer reading. Switches under the seat control the parking brake, electric cooling fan backup, and electric fuel pump. A tilt steering column, polished billet wheel, and Lokar floor shifter complete the interior.
Other custom touches include hand-formed running boards with rich Oak wood grain inserts matching the full Oak wooden cargo-bed and the numerous Oak features inside the custom cab interior. A hand-fabricated tail pan houses unique tail lights and a recessed licence plate housing. The fuel filler is located in the cargo bed, above the modern fuel cell. The convertible top and supporting framework are fully removable as desired. Specifications, build details, and operating instructions are on file with the vehicle. If you are seeking for an outstanding and fresh custom car with iconic looks and modern running gear, this 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup is ready to cruise, show, and enjoy!
